Metadata Driven Information Architecture

This presentation aims at sharing the innovative enterprise wide Information Architecture using integrated metadata. Big organizations make a considerable investment in their Information Agenda and want to get the best results out of it. Companies are finding their success to be increasingly dependent on the quality and reliability of their information. Every major organization has vast amount of information and to manage that information in a reliable and user friendly framework is a big challenge. This presentation attempts at sharing a proven methodology and technology to define an Information Architecture using Data discovery, business metadata, design metadata, operational metadata and data lineage.

 

Ashwin Sinha, Focus Strategies & Solutions

Ashwin Sinha is Principal Consultant for Focus Strategies and Solutions and leads the Information Management team in NSW.  He is a professional expert specializing in the area of Information Management since last 9 years and has extensively worked with various Technologies (IBM, Oracle, and Teradata) around Information Management and Business Intelligence. Ashwin has expertise covering data governance, information architecture, stake holder management, practice building, vendor management, data warehousing, master data management, data modelling, data migration, data quality analysis, data modelling, metadata management, data profiling and business glossaries.

DAMA (Data Management Association) is a not-for-profit, vendor independent association of technical and business professionals dedicated to advancing the concepts and practices for data resource management and enterprise information. The primary purpose of DAMA is to promote the understanding, development, and practice of managing data to support business strategies.  DAMA has chapters and members throughout the world.

DAMA has been in operation for over 20 years in Australia and there are active DAMA chapters in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Canberra. DAMA Sydney offers a regular speaker programme as well as regular meetings, seminars and workshops. It provides a forum for information management practitioners to network and exchange information and experiences.
